Not sure what to ask your plumber? Here's a list of questions you should ask before hiring any plumber. This will ensure you have a trusted technician and give you peace of mind throughout the process.

• Are You a Certified Plumber?

  When it comes to finding a plumber, it's important to make sure the work is completed by a professionally trained & licensed plumber. A certified plumbing contractor is also going to have knowledge about regulations, permits and codes needed for the job.

• How Experienced Are You?

  Whether you're hiring an apprentice, journeyman or master plumber, ensure your contractor (or their supervisor) has the necessary technical license, skills and knowledge of local codes before any work begins.

• Will You Give Me Pricing Up-Front?

  While a soft quote can usually be given over the phone, getting an accurate estimate will need to be done in person. After diagnosing the issue, your plumber should provide a firm price quote. Be sure to ask if the cost includes labor and material, so you can avoid any hidden fees.

• What Services Do You Specialize In?

  Many times, plumbers have expertise in certain areas (such as residential, commercial or industrial). Hiring a plumber that specializes in the work you need will ensure a job well done and prevent future problems.

• Do You Offer a Warranty?

  Plumbing repairs and installations should always come with a guarantee. A reputable plumber will agree to repair or replace any problems directly related to the service provided for a minimum of 30 days after the task is completed.

• Will I Get a Free Estimate?

  This will vary depending on the professional. Each of our partners has a different way of conducting business and providing estimates. We recommend that you clarify the process and policies with them before scheduling your service.

  That said, some companies charge a service call fee that ranges from $49 to $149. Generally, this fee does NOT include parts, supplies and labor. Typically, the reason for this fee is to help the contractor cover their travel expenses and company overhead.

• Is Your Service Guaranteed?

  All contractors are independent and Plumber Pros does not warrant or guarantee any work performed. It is the responsibility of the homeowner to verify the contractor that they hire has the necessary license and insurance required for the work being performed.
